CONTINUOUS FIBRE FABRICATION – CFF 3D PRINTING

Using our Continuous Fibre Fabrication (CFF) service, ARRK can offer parts built in a Hybrid Carbon / Onyx materials. Having recently invested in a Markforged machine, we believe the addition of these new materials to our range provides customers with even greater choice and flexibility.

What are the advantages of using our 3D printing Continuous Fibre Fabrication?

RAPID PRODUCTION

With a build area of 320 x 132 x 154 mm parts can be built and finished in exceptionally short time scales. If you have a low volume quantity requirement for small parts which offer great strength, then our Hybrid Carbon / Onyx offering could be an ideal solution.

PERFORMANCE PARTS

Focusing predominantly on our Hybrid Carbon offering this process provides fantastic strength to weight ratio. Parts are built with a top & bottom layer of Carbon and filled with Onyx. This then offers customers the perfect balance between affordability and having parts built in production grade materials.

This process also allows us to accommodate inserts in a number of different ways. On the one hand they can be accommodated during the build process to represent an overmould. Alternatively, inserts can be post fitted. (e.g. *brass threaded inserts, as per below image).

We believe by working closely with clients at a very early stage to understand their needs we can help by providing valuable design for manufacture advice so that they get the best results. After all, why wouldn’t you take advantage of our years of experience and expertise in the field of 3d printing.

If you’re looking for a more flexible part with great durability, then parts built in our Onyx material could be what you’re looking for. Our Onyx offering is filled to a minimum of 37% material content and parts are typically built with an internal honeycomb structure.

PROTOTYPE OR PRODUCTION SOLUTIONS – YOU CHOOSE

This highly flexible, twin filament process, allows the combination of Onyx and Carbon to be built simultaneously. This process therefore opens up new opportunities and solutions to meet customers needs. Our goal is to help customers find a compromise between performance and cost.
